A fine and rare diminutive Childs' or Miniature Peg Tankard, c. 1660s and later engraved with a Christening Presentation in 1924.
The lidded tankard has an inset coin dated 1705 and pricked initials TG and date 1664.
There are some old repairs the base and the feet have been re attached at some point. The lid is beautifully decorated with flower heads while around the base of the sides is scrolled foliate flat chased work.
Dimensions: Approx: 9 cm tall, 6 cm in diameter and 9 cm from handle across.
A wonderful find and extremely rare.
