A Russian 14ct yellow gold signet ring, The engraved hard stone has the family crest of the von Koskull family. The inscription on the inside of the band is for Josef Fr. von Kuskull 1899.
The Koskull family is a wealthy aristocratic family of Livonian origins, famous for their extensive lands and manors. The family are claimed to be descendants of King Caupo of Turaida, but officially established as Koskele in 1302 in Livonia.
The family has a long history throughout Eastern Europe and is still around to this day.
