GEORGIAN Sterling Silver RAT Tail SPOON London 1726 Edward HALL
Regular priceSale price
For sale is this lovely example of a George 1st Hanoverian Rattail Pattern Spoon hallmarked for London, 1726, maker Edward Hll.
Condition is very goods as the photos share, there is some light wear to the bowl, otherwise just light wear that you'd expect from a spoon nearly 300 years old.
The hallmarks are well struck other than the maker's mark which is faint but legible. The terminal of the spoon is engraved with a beautiful armorial of a dog breathing flames and there is a later owner's mark J J DEAR stamped into it.
Rarely do these spoons appear on the market now, check out my other auctions for a further 3 examples!
Dimensions: Approx. 19.5 cm long, bowl width approx. 4 cm.
