A fine and scarce antique Sterling Silver nutmeg grater. The grater was made in Sheffield in 1793 by Thomas Law and is nice original condition with wear commensurate with age. The lid is engraved with an armorial of lion holding a wreath, possibly the family crest of Harrison.
Well marked on both lids and a wonderful find. Sheffield hallmarked silver from the 18th century is difficult to find outside candlesticks and flatware.
